If you decide to proceed, I will schedule a series of three college counseling meetings with students and families.
The first meeting will explore the student's academic record to determine strengths and create a plan for success. Classes and standardized testing schedules are suggested. The student will be encouraged to identify teachers who best recognize the student's interests and will be able to write the most perceptive college recommendations.
The second meeting will focus on extracurricular interests. We will brainstorm about how to deepen activities and interests during the school year and through summer opportunities.
The third meeting will discuss your family's and your student's aspirations for college and beyond. Next, we will discuss specific colleges and the student's fit. Once a family agrees on admissions plan suitable for attaining that student's goals, the process begins.

Grades 11-12: My services focus directly on the selection of colleges and the preparation of the strongest possible applications. Based on an in-depth interview with the student and their family, and based on the student's current credentials, I advise the student on how to research schools, and devise our own personalized and strategic list of colleges and universities, tailored according to school type, size, location, admissions standards, reputation, programs, student life, extracurricular activities, cost, and environment (big city vs. small town).
